Blackbird - Purplish spot in middle of bottom lip has matching number on upper lip; looks like bruising. White spot on L upper lip looks like Queen's white spot on her lip (that hung around and then was gone)... Upper quadrant of tail still has remnants of leaning towers of pimple. Original tail feature on lower quadrant still hanging around. R gill slit a little reddish. Scrape - negative.

Harpo - Still a little tip of red on L paw - PP (1st time) - UPS brown turn on Qtip-sized area, both sides.

C-clip - Looking good.

Brown - Looking good.

Bronze - Paws raggedy. Injection site has little dark red area; looks different. Scrape - feature on R paw - some red blood cells; one “bunch of cells”, “unorganized” thing; an ich creature; epistylis (sp?), from side of tank? Feature itself looks like a sac, had white cells. PP (1st time) - UPS brown where feature was, spot of UPS brown on belly, where fin rests. PP (1st time) on feature on leading edge of L paw - UPS brown turn on edge and top, but not bottom.

Card - Feature on R side about at aft of dorsal fin - scrape - nothing. Feature is just a little raised area.

Pumpkin - R-side ulcer “looks awful”, but some white. Belly ulcer improving slowly. PP (1st time) on R-side ulcer - UPS brown turn; Debride (1st time). Scrape - nothing.

Glitter - Anal fin eroded quite a bit - ≈ 2/3 of the way to the body (doing a Queen thing). Dorsal fin spli looking very angry. Debride (1st time).

For Pumpkin and Glitter - .8 ml Maxipime orally every other day, if water temp stays in the same range, every 3rd day if the temp drops into the low 60s.

Notes for Eau Rouge -
Carp pox Web search on Google
Carp pox image search on Google

CARP POX

Note: from Doc Johnson

•Carp Pox should be differentiated from other viral and non-viral eruptions with a microscope. In very cold water, there are strains of Ich which will coalesce into large gel-like globs instead of causing the dusting of white spots. Biopsy is important.
•Carp Pox and certain cancers cannot be differentiated by pathologists in every case.
•Carp Pox occurs in warm water [Georgia summers] with regularity, so it could be stated that warm water is a cure in some cases.
